Description:

This is a beautiful example of a modern classic. The second gen BMW Mini. Chilli Red with Black Roof and Black Alloys. Very nicely optioned up with the Harman Kardon Sound System and all. It has 6 Airbags unlike all these newer Mini Coopers sold in India which have only 2!  The original owner changed the exhaust to a Magnaflow exhaust which emits a wonderful growly roar especially on the exhaust overrun when going down a slope on a curvy country road. Perfectly street legal though.

The Paddle Shifters are a real Joy to use and the Sports mode on this car tightens up the suspension and dynamics nicely. The steering is beautifully weighted and very precise.

This is the R56 Mini Cooper S. It has the 1.6 litre turbo petrol Prince engine jointly developed by BMW and Peugeot. It puts out 184 bhp straight. And has an over boost taking it to 192 bhp. Very nice when overtaking on the highways.

A strong and powerful little supermini hatchback car. Unbeatable handling. Wonderful road manners and driving dynamics.

I had been following this car for several
Months. And I had test driven it also in April 2019 at which time the owner chose not to sell it.

I finally acquired it in November end 2019.
It had done just 33000 odd kms in all these years.
In the last year and a half I have managed to clock around 12000odd highly enjoyable kms in it.

The car was originally purchased brand new by a neighbour, in August 2012, in Delhi, from Deutsche Motoren, well before Mini Cooper became available in Bangalore. It was trucked down to Bangalore and registered here for the first time. So it is indeed one of the earliest Mini Cooper S cars in India.
The FC is valid until 2027.

I have been meticulous about maintenance as usual and oil changes and servicing and all. It is serviced carefully at CarSmith Motors HSR layout and always in my presence. i do of course take it now and then to Navnit Motors largely to source parts. And I have maintained a good relationship with them too.

In early 2020 I changed the original factory fitted plastic water punp because it had sprung a leak. I imported the replacement all metal part and gasket from Dubai and fitted it. Its perfect since then.

I have completely drained and changed the ATF fluid in a painstaking manner since it was a 7.5 year old car when I got it. This is not a service that BMW supports owners with so I procured the special JWS3309 ATF fluid and made sure the job was done at CarSmith under my supervision and participation. Also the transmission fluid filters and magnets all of which I imported from the US. I ve put a brand new set of Iridium Spark Plugs. These aid combustion greatly. I have changed the drive belt (V Belt) and all 4 disc rotors and all brake pads and sensors.

I use only BMW LL01FE engine oil as recommended.
The front cowl hood was aged and some of the rubber beadings had become old and decrepit bedause of our weather conditions so I imported these parts and changed them over to brand new. I have a stack of spares, brake pads, sensors, oils, brake fluid, coolant, distilled water and stuff all of which I will give along with the vehicle.

I ve put on 4 lovely brand new tubeless 205/55/16 Michelin Pilot Sports 4, tyres in September 2020. They are truly superb in terms of grip and handling. I ve driven about 4000 odd kms with these tyres. Tyre servicing is done at Madhus and luckily Nikhil was able to kindly give me a set of probably the last lot of imported Michelin Pilot Sports! The tubeless tyres make for a much better ride.

The car is in superlative condition and would truly be a great catch for an enthusiast.
I truly regret having to put it on the market but I just dont have the time to drive it as much as I ought to.

I will sell this only to an individual who is passionate about cars and who will understand the value.
I am not interested in bargaining and 'making a deal'.

This particular car has to be respected for what it offers.
