1999 GYPSY 1.3 CARBURETOR - CNG (Ex - Police)
As is condition - perfect candidate for restoration!
Please read carefully below before contacting.

Current Condition:
I do not reside in the country so the car has not been used in the last 2 years.
  • Car is currently not working due to an electrical issue - electric current not reaching the spark plugs
  • Engine will need a rebuilt as it eats oil
  • Transfer Case and Gear Box are in good condition
  • Body is rusted but salvageable
  • Current Registration is with Mehsana RTO which expired in 2014
  • Currently located in Surat
Reason for Sale:
I have no use for it. Might as well hand it over to someone who wants to restore and scratch the Gypsy bug.

History:
This Gypsy was auctioned from Rajasthan Police service in 2009 and was acquired by the previous owner. 
Previous owner restored it and got it registered in Anand, Gujarat RTO.
Previous owner had also replaced the engine during restoration which is endorsed in the RC book.

I bought this Gypsy from the previous owner in 2012 and used it regularly for couple of years before moving to USA. 
Since then it has been used infrequently in the last 10 years mostly doing farm chores.
Due to an incompetent RTO agent, I was misguided that the registration will expire in 2024 (15 years from 2009) but after recently inquiring with the Mehsana RTO for renewal we found that the registration has been expired since 2014. The registration can be renewed, but I do not have the time to do so.

Price is negotiable only for serious buyers who will take the time to check the car in person.
